I'm Alessandra, the owner and operator of this small-scale artisanal business. I have created this website to make the purchasing experience simpler and more fluid than a request via social media or other marketplaces. Below are the terms and conditions of service in detail. The following general terms and conditions of use and legal notes govern the contractual relationship for the use of the website between you (hereinafter referred to as the Client) and Alessandra Mandelli, a sole proprietorship with its registered office in Via Corelli 2/4 09045 Quartu Sant’Elena (CA), hereinafter referred to as Baby Island.
Before using the website, please carefully read the following general terms and conditions of use and legal notes. Using the website implies acceptance, without reservation, of these terms by the Client. Baby Island may modify these general terms and conditions of use at any time, and the applicable conditions will be those in force at the time the Client uses the website. The Client is responsible for checking these conditions and any modifications each time they use our website. The Client understands that all the conditions listed below are an integral part of the general terms and conditions of use.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS
How much does shipping cost and how long does my order take to arrive?

Standard shipping: 3–6 business days €5.90 (free for orders over €49.00)
Express shipping: 72 business hours €10.90 (€5.00 for orders over €49.00)
🇪 Europe
Standard shipping: 8–12 business days €8.90
🇨🇭 Switzerland
Standard shipping: 4–6 business days €16.50
Custom-made items: custom-made items are an exception and require 10 to 15 business days. These items are clearly marked as “custom-made items” on the product page (if you add these products to your cart, you will see the delivery times indicated as 10 to 15 business days).
Order tracking
When your order ships, you will receive an email with shipping confirmation and a package tracking number. Once the order has been dispatched, the actual delivery date may vary due to transport, weather conditions or other factors external to Baby Island and dependent on the express courier. As a small artisan business, attention to detail is our priority and we package everything with care, but mistakes can happen to anyone, even though we do our best. In the unlikely event that you encounter any factor that doesn't match the description or any issue of any kind, contact us immediately via one of the available channels (contact form, chat, email, social media). Also, if there are any problems with the courier, such as your package appearing to have been delivered but is not, or your package containing missing or incorrect items, contact us immediately so that we can carry out all the appropriate checks to provide you with assistance.
RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
We work hard to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your order, which is why we offer free returns. Here are the general rules in case there are any issues after contacting us to try to resolve the problem:
Will you accept returns?
We accept returns that meet all requirements, as we want to provide you with a stress-free shopping experience. If you change your mind for any reason, you have 14 days from the delivery date to return your order. Requirements: The products must be returned in the same condition in which they were delivered: unused, intact, and undamaged. However, this does not apply to personalized orders (such as a personalized pacifier chain) or those that fall under the "personalized" category as specified in the product description (custom orders). These items cannot be returned as they are made to order.
How do I return my order?
To return your order, log in to your account on our website and follow the procedure. If you have any questions or concerns, please use the contact form, chat, or email and we will respond promptly to assist you. Do I have to pay for shipping? No, our items are handmade and we take great care in the details, which is why we offer free returns in case of any defect or if you change your mind. This is to ensure a stress-free shopping experience for you.
In accordance with the applicable law, the customer has the right to withdraw from all or part of their order, without providing any reason; this right expires fourteen (14) days after receiving the order. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal include personalized orders (such as a pacifier chain with a name) or those falling under the "personalized" or custom category as specified in the item description. To comply with the withdrawal period, the customer must communicate their decision to exercise this right through the return procedure on the website before the 14-day deadline from receiving the product. If the customer exercises the right of withdrawal, the products must be returned within 7 days in their original packaging, in perfect condition, unused, and with all accessories. The returned products should not have been used or altered in any way except to establish the nature, characteristics, and proper functioning of the product. Incomplete, damaged, or soiled products will not be accepted. Certain products are not eligible for the right of withdrawal, such as those customized for the customer. If the order is returned intact and unused, the customer will be refunded the product price. The cost of returning the products will be borne by Baby Island provided the customer follows the return instructions in our Returns Policy. Baby Island will issue the refund to the card used for payment within fourteen (14) days of receiving the products. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must inform Baby Island, via the form on the website, of their decision to withdraw from the contract through an unequivocal statement. The return label must be printed and attached to the return package, which must be sent within the specified timeframe.
PERSONAL DATA
The customer confirms having read and understood the privacy and personal data information on the "Privacy Policy" page at the bottom of each website page, detailing how and for what purposes personal data is collected. This data is an integral part of the contract between the parties and the terms and conditions of service. By using the website, the customer declares having read and unreservedly accepted all its contents.
RESPONSABILITY AND LEGAL NOTES
By using the website, the customer declares having read, understood, and unreservedly accepted the following recommendations and disclaimers. The customer is required to familiarize themselves with the product features as they appear on the website to ensure proper and safe use. Baby Island commits to ensuring that the information on the website is up to date. For all baby products, adult supervision is always necessary without exceptions. It is prohibited to leave any object near the sleeping child unless explicitly classified as safe for sleep in the product description. Using any product as a toy for children aged 0-3 years is prohibited unless expressly classified as such in the product description. Products containing small loose parts or showing signs of wear should not be used by children under 3 years old and should be discarded immediately as they pose a choking hazard. Before use, carefully read and fully adhere to warnings and instructions. Baby Island cannot be held responsible for improper use of products by the customer, use contrary to contraindications indicated on the product page, or scenarios unforeseeable by Baby Island. To the extent permitted by law, Baby Island cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, regardless of the cause, origin, nature, or consequence, arising from website use. Particularly in cases of website interruption or inaccessibility, virus outbreaks, inaccuracies in website information, or any damage resulting from fraudulent acts by third parties on the website.
